Sisters Deanna and Heather Carell lead this practice with a shared commitment to holistic care rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine. They serve patients in Naples, Florida, and Nutley, New Jersey, offering treatments that blend clinical expertise with genuine compassion.
Our Story
Deanna’s journey into acupuncture started in her early 20s. After turning to acupuncture to manage anxiety without relying on medication, she discovered the depth of Traditional Chinese Medicine. That experience shifted her career path from publishing to healing. She went on to become a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, focusing her work on women’s health, fertility, mental wellness, and cosmetic acupuncture.
Her passion for this field influenced Heather, who studied psychology and worked alongside Deanna before choosing to pursue acupuncture herself. Heather earned her Master’s degree in Acupuncture and now brings her own strengths to the practice, with a focus on emotional health, fertility, pain management, and cosmetic care.
Together, they’ve built a practice that values evidence-based holistic medicine, personalized care, and ongoing education.

About Dr. Deanna, DACM
Deanna offers a personalized, integrative care experience that combines clinical expertise with deep compassion. Her work in Naples focuses on holistic healing and cosmetic acupuncture, and she continues to educate other practitioners in safe and effective microneedling techniques.
Outside the clinic, Deanna enjoys reading, yoga, cooking, and baking sourdough bread. She finds balance in nature, community, and quiet time by the beach.

About Heather
Heather blends her background in psychology with acupuncture to offer care that addresses both the mind and body. Her treatments are thoughtful, individualized, and rooted in deep listening. She leads the Nutley office, where she supports patients through life transitions, emotional stress, physical pain, and holistic cosmetic care.
Outside of work, Heather enjoys being outdoors with her dog Amber, creating art, baking, and continuing her studies in Chinese herbal medicine.
What We Do
Though Deanna and Heather lead practices in separate states, their approach is unified and collaborative. Both trained directly under Master Kiiko Matsumoto and continue to integrate Japanese-style acupuncture with Traditional Chinese Medicine and Worsley 5 Element theory. Every treatment is rooted in addressing the whole person - not just symptoms.
